Moar Warhammer!

Hey all, new post and a new font. I cant stand Times Roman.


So those of you who are into Warhammer have probably seen the new Necron models and Codex art. If you have not then you can find some excellent articles on the blog Imperius Dominatus.


I think they look pretty cool. The transports are a bit Cylony, but still exceedingly cool. They are about 10-100 times better than the old Necron models. If I didn't already have a Dark Eldar army on the go I would definitely start collecting them.


Moving on, I am a bit of a fluff nazi when it comes to armies, I dislike cut and past armies that are built to "win" I don't mean i dislike winning or even optimizing a good army. Like in D&D, another one of my favorite games, I endorse making a strong and competent character or army. But when you munchkin or cheese the crap out of an army then I start getting annoyed, when an army looks like this I start loosing interest:

Not that I have any problem with people making lists like this. I just don't like playing with or against them. Maybe its just me but i just don't find it very enjoyable. What do you guys think?

Warhammer 40000, what can you say...

A whole frikking lot actually. I love Warhammer 40K, it is among my favorite settings and favorite games. I have played for several years my army was the Space Marines, we had many great battles. Sometimes i even won! My model soldiers have grown and prospered over the years.

Sadly i almost never play them anymore. Why you ask? It stopped being fun.

My local gaming group is rather competitive, they build strong list. Although i have never come across the cheese you would come across in an 'Ard Boys tournament but it is still. I found i was having to make compromises between lists that i found fun and fluffy and lists that are "good".

So i am currently on a 40K hiatus until 6th edition when mech will hopefully be dethroned.

With this post I will have joined the ranks of bloggers around the world. (If you know any purveyors of red capes and goggles let me know!) This is really just a mind dump about my insane life, in Swordfighting, Python, Physics, Wargaming and Dinosaurs!

So, on to the Mind Dump.

Yesterday i was talking with my friend about Infinity, which lead to an interesting confrontation about the Banach-Tarski Paradox. I was incredulous at first but after some well thought out arguments I realized the truth.
